Find Out Kanye West's Over-the-Top Plans to Premiere His New Album, Waves, Next Week

Kanye West wouldn't be Kanye West if he didn't
premiere his newest album in the most over-the-top
way possible.
Yes, the rapper plans to debut Waves in what we're
sure will be a sell-out concert at Madison Square
Garden on Feb. 11. But that's not even the beginning
of it!
Not only will he take over the highly acclaimed venue,
but he'll also broadcast the show live via satellite in
select cinemas around the world. (You can see the full
list of participating theaters here).
The event had been rumored for several weeks after
appearing on Ticketmaster's website, but 'Ye only
confirmed it on Twitter Monday.
"SEASON 3 / WAVES / MADISON SQUARE GARDEN /
INTERNATIONAL CINEMAS," he tweeted along with a
poster and link to the event page.
The show will also include a performance by Vanessa
Beecroft , the artist who helped conceptualize Yeezy
Season 1 and 2.
Kanye's album Waves —which was originally titled Swish
—includes the recently released tracks, "No More
Parties in LA" and "Facts."
Meanwhile, news of the album premiere will help
deviate some of the attention from his much-talked
about Twitter war with Wiz Khalifa last week. The
"Real Friends" rapper went off on Amber Rose 's baby
daddy, saying Wiz "let a stripper trap him," referring to
Rose's previous career. He claimed Wiz "wouldn't have
a child" if it wasn't for Kanye, saying he "owns" his
two-year-old son, Sebastian.
However, Kanye—father to North West and Saint West
—has since deleted the controversial tweets from the
tired and vowed to never bring a child into a heated
situation again.
"God's dream...Never speak on kids again...all
love...all blessings..." he tweeted .

Murder: Court remands NURTW boss in prison

THE Lagos State Chief Magistrate’s Court, Ebute-
Metta, has ordered the remand in custody of the
Chairman of Meran Branch of the National Union
of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Mr. Wasiu
Onibudo, over alleged conspiracy and murder.
The Court presided over by Chief Magistrate
Afolashade Botoku, made the order on Friday,
following an application for remand filed and
argued before the court by the police prosecutor,
Mr. Godwin Osuyi.
Osuyi informed the court that the application was
filed pursuant to Section 264 of the
Administration of Criminal Justice of Lagos state,
2011.
He told the court that the defendant was alleged
to have conspired with others now at large, and
killed one Taiwo Ogunlaja, by stabbing him to
death.
He further told the court that the defendant
committed the offence during a NURTW’s
meeting held on December 3, 2015, at the Union’s
Headquarters, at 365, Abeokuta Expressway,
Abule-Egba Lagos.
The prosecutor told the court that the remand
application was supported by a 10-paragraph-
affidavit deposed to by Inspector Bartholomew
Ali of IGP Monitoring Unit, Abuj. He said a copy
of the affidavit, the charge sheet, a petition
written to the police by Plenary Solicitors, the
deceased photograph, medical certificate of the
cause of the death and a statement of a witness,
named Ahmed Balogun are attached to the
application.
Consequently, he urged the court to remand the
defendant in prison custody, pending when the
Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), will issue
an advice on the matter.
However, Chief Magistrate Botoku while
dismissing the objection raised by defendant
counsel, ordered that the accused be remanded
in prisons custody for the first 30 days, pending
when DPP will issue an advice on the matter.
The Chief Magistrate also ordered the police to
duplicate the case file and forward it to the DPP
for advice.
The matter has been adjourned till February 29,

A police officer died on Sunday night after he was hit
by a speeding motorist on Mombasa Road as he
controlled traffic to pave the way for President Uhuru
Kenyatta’s motorcade.
According to www.nation.co.ke, the officer, identified
as Corporal Levi Njonjo, was in company with
Embakasi OCPD Apollo Onyonyi, OCS Victor Nyongesa
and three other officers near a diversion to the airport
a few minutes before midnight when he was hit by the
car.
His colleagues escaped unhurt when they saw the car
approaching.
One of the officers, Mr Onyonyi, said, “We were
clearing traffic awaiting the President’s arrival from
the AU summit in Ethiopia.
“A speeding Toyota Which was driven by a man
approached and did not stop. We jumped off the road
but one of the officers was hit.”

Pope Francis warns priests, nuns against gossiping

Pope Francis told gossip-loving priests and nuns to
bite their tongues on Monday, and warned those
breaking their vow of obedience to fall into line
sharpish.
“If you get an urge to say something against a brother
or a sister, to drop a gossip bomb, bite your tongue!
Hard!” the pontiff said in an improvised speech to
members of the clergy marking the end of the Year of
Consecrated Life.
The Argentine warned against those abusing their
religious vows of chastity, poverty and obedience,
describing “anarchy” as the “daughter of the devil”.
And he bemoaned a drop in the number of people
signing up for a religious life, but warned against
taking just anyone.
“Why is the womb of consecrated live becoming so
sterile?” he asked.
“Some congregations experiment with ‘artificial
insemination’. What do they do? They welcome… ‘Yes
come, come, come’. And then there are problems,” he
said.
“No. We must be serious about who we take. We must
clearly distinguish if it is a real vocation, and help it to
grow.”
The Roman Catholic Church is still smarting from the
clerical sex abuse scandal, which hurt the institution
globally and saw many believers, particularly in the
West, turn their back on the centuries-old institution.
The number of priests and nuns in industrialised
countries is in sharp decline, though the Church still
counts 693,000 nuns around the world and 55,000
priests.
