A Lagos man has bagged himself a seven
year prison sentence after he was found printing fake
naira notes.
The suspect, James Onwuso, was handed sown his
sentence in a Lagos High Court while his forfeiture
machine was also ordered to be presented to the
Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
In addition, the fake notes produced by Onwuso were
also ordered to be destroyed.

Onwuso is alleged to have been arrested previously,
in 2011, when he was also found in possession of
counterfeit currency.
The convict revealed to the court that he had
entered into the illegal venture following his
retirement from the Nigerian Army, adding that he
had a supplier who gave him printing papers.
According to Justice Ibrahim Buba, presiding Judge
in the case, the verdict was an easy one to declare.
