How We Planned And Executed Lekki, Ikorodu, Festac And Agbara Bank Robberies – Robbery Kingpin Explains

The suspect, identified as Kelly Fotor, an
Ijaw native of Arugbo, Ondo State, was
arrested last Saturday by operatives of the
Inspector General of Police Special
Intelligence Response Team, SIRT, at a
wedding ceremony in Sapele, Delta State.
According to Vanguard the suspect, who
was at the ceremony with some armed
men, had a gun duel with the operatives
which led to the killing of one of the
policemen, while Fotor and three of his
colleagues, were arrested with bullet
wounds.
It was gathered that the SIRT operatives,
led by CSP, Abba Kyari, who had been on
the trail of the gang, trailed Fotor to the
wedding ceremony after their last
operation at Agbara area of Ogun State
where they robbed a bank and left three
persons, including a pregnant woman,
dead.
Fotor, who sustained a bullet wound
during the shootout, told Vanguard
Repoter that he is the leader of the South
South group of the gang.
He explained that the gang also had a
Lagos leader who he identified as Ossy,
adding that his gang was made up of 12
men, including himself, with bases in
Delta, Rivers, Bayelsa and Ondo states.
Fotor also said his gang normally teamed
up with their Lagos group for operations,
disclosing to Vanguard that he and his
gang were formerly into sea piracy
before teaming up with Ossy.
According to him, Ossy is the leader of
the pipeline vandals at Arepo and
Ikorodu areas.
Lekki, Ikorodu, Festac and Agbara bank
robbery operations
Fotor also said he and his men took part
in the Lekki, Ikorodu, Festac and Agbra
bank robberies, adding that they made
N28 million from Agbara bank robbery.
“I and my group got N14 million share
from the Agbara operation, while, Ossy
and his group got N14 million. I left
Lagos by waters that day after that
operation with my men back to
Igbokoda, Ondo State, where we shared
the money and everyone got his share of
the loot.
‘’It was Ossy’s men who usually pick out
our targets. They were the ones who
picked out all the targets, my job was to
give support and my boat is very big and
my boat boy is a professional and knows
his way around the water very well,” he
stated
When Vanguard Reporter inquired who
was the woman in the group, he
explained that there was no woman in
the gang.
He, however, said it was one of Ossy’s
boys who normally dressed like a woman
during operations.
How the DSS operatives were killed
On how they killed the nine DSS officials,
Fotor told the Reporter that as
commanders of the groups, he and Ossy
never intended to kill the operatives
when they were captured.
He explained that the operatives stormed
their hideout wanting to rescue a woman
who they abducted from Festac.
He explained further:
“One of our boys who was heavily drunk
met us while we were interrogating the
suspects after we captured them and he
opened fire on them.
‘’I was at their camp at Ikorodu when
the DSS operatives were captured and
they brought them before me and Ossy
and they knelt down and we
interrogated them, but that guy, he was
Ossy’s man. He was very drunk, walked
in and without asking questions opened
fire on all of them and killed them.
Neither myself nor Ossy ordered their
killing, we never wanted to kill them,” he
explained.
Meanwhile, Fotor and three other
suspects arrested along with him have
been transferred to Abuja, while SIRT
operatives are still combing the area for
other members of the gang.

Jason Derulo is Dating 50 Cent's baby mama

Jason Derulo is dating 50 Cent's ex-
girlfriend Daphne Joy.
The 26-year-old singer is reportedly smitten with the
28-year-old model and actress, who has three-year-
old son Sire with the Candy Shop hitmaker.
A source told street Yan : "They really like each other.
It's still new but they are exclusive and really like
being around each other. It's a very carefree easy
going relationship."
The Wiggle hitmaker alluded to his new romance on
Instagram on Friday, where he shared a recent
photograph of him with his arm around Daphne while
partying in London, with the caption:

Jason split from Jordin Sparks in September 2014
after three years together and earlier this year he
confessed he felt under pressure to marry her.
He said: "There was a lot of pressures of marriage.
There was a lot of arguing and stuff like that just
weighed on our relationship over time. When you stop
having more good times than bad times, it's time to
call it quits. It becomes something that is unhealthy."
He also said he wasn't ready to find another serious
girlfriend, adding: "It's pretty clear that I'm not ready
for that. I'm just not in the right space."

LIFESTYLE : 3 Factors That Determine If a Cheating Partner Deserves a Second Chance

If you've been cheated on and haven’t already
packed your bags and left, you may be
wondering whether you should end the
relationship now or give your partner a second
chance. Maybe you feel sick at the thought of
losing your relationship, but you don't want to
feel like a fool and be hurt all over again.
Every situation is different, but your decision
to stay or go should come from an informed
and clear place. Use these signs to figure out
if you should forgive him or give him the boot.
3 Signs You Should Go:
You have proof that the affair has not
ended. Unless you’re OK with a
polyamorous relationship, it's probably
unwise to stay. Come up with an
agreement for your partner to be
completely transparent with you so that
you can know for sure –– otherwise the
problem is just going to stick around.
Your partner denies that you two have a
trust problem. If your partner refuses to
take ownership for cheating and won't work
with you to repair the damage, it’s
unhealthy for you to stay. While not
impossible, changes are far less effective
(and much slower to take effect) when only
one person is making them.
You can't see past the affair. There's a
difference between experiencing initial
shock of the affair and letting it take over
your entire relationship. When your
thoughts, words and actions continue to be
caught up in hurt and anger, it's a good
idea to take some time to focus on healing
yourself before trying to repair things.
3 Signs You Can Forgive and
Stay in Your Relationship
Your partner takes responsibility for their
decision to cheat. When your partner
sincerely apologizes for creating the
account, meeting the other person, or
having the affair, that's a hopeful sign.
This must be followed up by real action
that helps you to see that they are
trustable again.
You take responsibility for your role in the
relationship problems. (This can be a
challenging one!) While you didn't betray
your partner by having an affair, it's
possible that you played a role in the
distance and disconnection in your
relationship. Without making it "your fault"
that your partner cheated, be honest about
the ways you may have unintentionally
pushed your partner away.
You're both willing to work together to
rebuild your trust. It's not always easy to
do, but the more you and your partner can
communicate honestly about what
happened and what you want now, the
more you can work as a team to create a
trusting and intimate future together.

NIGERIA BRACES UP FOR RETALIATION AS UK DEPORTS 500 NIGERIANS TODAY

Nigerians at home are currently bracing
for a blazing diplomatic row with Britain
as the United Knigdom plans to deport
over 500 Nigerians who have been
resident in that country today.
For over two weeks now, the affected
Nigerians in the UK have been crying out
to the Nigerian Government to come
their rescue, but it appears their cry for
help has fallen on deaf ears.
Some of these Nigerians are married to
British nationals, and deporting now will
mean that they may never get to see
their families and loved ones in the UK
again.
Sad enough too, the Nigerian
Government has been uncomfortably
silent on the allegation of Nigerian High
Commission officials in the UK taking
£3,000 bribe from UK officials to issue
travel certificates to the affected
Nigerians.
The families of the affected Nigerians at
home here are wondering why the
government is not taking any action on
the issue, when of course,it is common
knowledge that the British Government
will never condone its own citizens being
treated in the manner Nigerians are
being treated in the UK.

2018 World Cup qualifiers: No panic over Eagles opponents – Pinnick

Nigeria Football Federation president, Amaju Pinnick
has assured fans that the Super Eagles will qualify
for the 2018 World Cup in Russia despite fears,
Nigeria will be
handed a tough draw in the
group qualifiers.
FIFA is expected to make
the draws in June 2016.
Nigerian fans, have
foreseen a tough draw for
the Super Eagles, based on
the lowly ratings of the
national team in the world
and African brackets. “Our
concern is to prepare the
senior national team for
the group stage of the qualifiers,” said Pinnick in
Lagos at the weekend.
“We believe that all the 20 teams that made the last
stage are African super powers who merited their
qualifications. So the best we can do is to prepare
the Eagles for the task ahead and ensure that
Nigeria qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, “
Pinnick said.
Nigeria beat Swaziland 2-0 on aggregate to join
Gabon, Zambia, Uganda, DR Congo, Morocco,
Guinea, Libya, Cameroon, Ghana, Congo, Egypt,
South Africa, Ivory Coast, Tunisia, Burkina Faso,
Algeria, Cape Verde, Senegal and Mali.

Obasanjo asks universities to find solution to Boko Haram insurgency, terrorism

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, on Monday,
challenged Nigerian universities to come up with
creative solution to Boko Haram and violent extremism
threatening the peace in Africa and in the World.
He, accordingly, urged the Association of West African
Universities (AWAU) to take leadership in the quest of
delivering a curriculum and research methodologies
that would foster a culture of peace and human
security in Africa and the world.
Obasanjo, who was represented by a former Executive
Secretary of the National Universities Commission
(NUC), Professor Peter Okebukola, spoke at the third
annual conference and general meeting of AWAU, held
at Nigerian Turkish Nile University, Abuja.
While condemning the recent attack by extremists that
left many people dead in Paris, France, Obasanjo said
the West Africa sub-region had not been spared by the
scourge of Boko Haram.
He said: "Peace in Africa and in the world is getting
increasingly compromised through violent extremism to
which our universities should rise stoutly to defend and
find solutions. We need our universities to come up
with creative solutions."
He identified curriculum irrelevance and poor research
culture as some of the challenges facing university
education not only in Nigeria, but also in entire African
continent.
Obasanjo, who disclosed that graduate unemployment
rate in West Africa averaged 39 per cent according to a
report in 2014, said there was the need to revitalise
high education in Africa towards emergence of strong
and vibrant institutions profoundly engaged in
fundamental and development-oriented research and
teaching.

SHOCKING!!! Baby Dies An Hour After Bathing.

With dry drowning, water never reaches
the lungs. Instead, breathing in water
causes your child’s vocal chords to spasm
and close up after he’s already left the
pool, ocean, or lake. That shuts off his
airways, making it hard to breathe. A
condition called pulmonary edema is the
next following.
Here, we write about a case where a ten
year old child, Johnny, had foam on his
mouth and had difficulties breathing.
After taking him to the ER immediately,
the mother was told that what happened
was ”Secondary Drowning“ . Though
rare, secondary drowning can be fatal if
warning symptoms are ignored. Anytime
someone (children and adults alike)
inhales even a small gush of water (pool,
lake or ocean) it can irritate the lungs
and cause swelling. Usually very little
water is present in the lungs when
secondary drowning occurs, but the
small amount of liquid is enough to
hinder the lungs ability to provide
oxygen to the bloodstream.

NOTICE!!! Please Read me

Please it has come to our notice that there are some infected young guys and girls between 18-35 years particularly in Lagos and in the East purposely trying to spread the HIV virus to others by deliberately choosing to have sex without a condom with anybody they meet. There are several of them on Facebook who will gladly go out with you if you ask them out. Please beware of these guys and girls. Abstinence or mutual fidelity remain the best form of protection. But if you can't abstain, practice safe sex. Don't fall a victim of these people who are angry that they have been infected with the HIV virus and now want to transmit it to everybody! When you meet them, they will never tell you that they have the virus. And it is never written on the forehead that your girlfriend or boyfriend or anybody you meet is carrying the virus.
There is still no cure yet for HIV/AIDS and it is not easy to manage it with the drugs used in the management of HIV/AIDS, and some people still die in the process of managing it.

So please be careful. NEVER have sex without a condom and be faithful to your partner. And if you decide to marry anybody, make sure both of you go for HIV test first.

VAN GAAL: MAN UTD WANT TO SIGN RONALDO

The Dutchman has revealed that he will "wait and
hope" over a possible deal for the Real Madrid
forward, who is reportedly unsettled at the
Bernabeu
Louis van Gaal has revealed that Manchester United
are interested in signing Cristiano Ronaldo from
Real Madrid .
The Portuguese forward has been continually linked
with a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu and
both United and PSG, with Ronaldo having
reportedly told Laurent Blanc he would "love" to
join them , have been mooted as potential
destinations.
Van Gaal's side, who beat Watford 2-1 at Vicarage
Road on Saturday, have struggled for consistency
on the wings, with the Dutchman himself having
bemoaned his side's lack of pace in attack.
And the Red Devils boss has now revealed for the
first time that he would love to welcome Ronaldo
back to Old Trafford. He told reporters: "Ronaldo
plays on the wings and he is fast and scores goals.
"There is no trainer in the world that doesn’t like
him.
"Of course we are looking - but we are looking at
all players, not just Ronaldo. But these players are
mostly ungettable.
"With Ronaldo, let's wait and hope."

FIFA PRESIDENT Sepp Blatter fears he was dying

Suspended FIFA president Sepp Blatter
revealed on Sunday that he feared he was dying
during a recent health scare.
The 79-year-old, who has been banned for 90 days as
the on-going probe into widespread corruption at
football's world governing body, was hospitalised
earlier this month suffering from stress.
"I was close to dying. I was between the angels who
were singing and the devil who was lighting the fire,
but it was the angels who sang," Blatter told Swiss
broadcaster RTS in an interview to be aired on
Wednesday.
"The pressure was enormous. At some stage the
body just says 'no', 'enough is enough'. But if you are
strong psychologically you can resist."
In September, Swiss prosecutors opened a criminal
case against Blatter over mismanagement and a
suspicious $2 million payment made in 2011 to
European football chief Michel Platini, who is also
serving a 90-day ban.

term, age limits
But in excerpts from Wednesday's interview which
were released to the media on Sunday, Blatter hailed
Platini as an "honest man".
"There is an agreement...even in the FIFA regulations
that a contract can be made either in writing or
orally. It is an oral contract, a contract of work."
The payment made to Platini in 2011 was reportedly
for work the Frenchman carried out a decade earlier.
Despite his suspension, Platini is still in the running
to succeed Blatter as FIFA president when the
election is held in February.
On the question of whether or not the UEFA
president would make a good FIFA chief, Blatter said:
"Yes".
"If he comes back, he will be elected."

LIFESTYLE : 4 Big Marriage Mistakes That Can Push Your Spouse Away

Hi One of the most puzzling human experiences
is the universal inability to clearly
communicate with one another.
Amazon has 854,433 books on the topic of
communication, so obviously
miscommunication is not due to a lack of
information. Rather, miscommunication is due
to lack of implementation. Communication is
an art, a discipline, a technique to be learned,
and a skill to develop — and it requires
ongoing practice while in a relationship.
There’s always room for improvement and
growth.

#1. You try to please him/
her too much.
If you’re too agreeable in the beginning, you’ll
resent him in the end. During the beginning
stages of a relationship, women who have the
tendency to be pleasers will gloss over issues
and comply to their partner’s whims and
wishes without consideration of their own
desires and dreams.
The eventual result of avoiding conflict is
bitterness, disappointment and deep-seated
anger. At some point in the future you will
erupt — much to the surprise of your partner!
If this is you, voice your desires and concerns
to your husband or wife. It’s never too late to
start.
#2. You make assumptions.
Misunderstandings arise when one partner
formulates a presumption about the other’s
point of view. Whether based on past history
or unresolved issues, being presumptuous can
be a real mood-killer.
Instead of trying to anticipate what he’ll say,
try to consider what your partner is actually
trying to say before you leap into fixing
things.
#3. You’re ignoring him/her.
All communication stems from a deep desire
to connect to each other. When an attempt to
connect is ignored or returned with harshness,
this results in what John Gottman, a
psychologist and researcher from the
University of Washington, calls "rejected
bids".
According to Gottman, rejected bids may be
one reason for marital conflict. Humanity has
a deep desire to connect, and we reach out to
offer a "bid" of connection, and then the "bid"
is either accepted or rejected. Humans need
85 percent of accepted bids in order to feel
connected.
Do you ignore bids of connection because
you’re distracted by smartphones, iPads, and
other electronics? How do you respond to the
bids? With warmth and a smile or with a sneer
and a smirk?
#4. You’re not saying what
you mean.
What we say and what we hear affects the
neural pathways of our brains. We are wired to
be in alignment and to have congruence: This
means that everything we see, do, hear, feel
and know must be true in mind, body, spirit. If
what we say isn’t congruent with how we feel,
it will confuse those around us and eventually
confuse ourselves.
Try this experiment: Put your face into an
angry expression, clench your teeth and jaw
and say, "I am so happy." Hard to do, right?
Now reverse your expression. Smile with your
eyes and mouth and say, "I am so angry".
Your brain is saying to you, "This does not
compute; your words and expression do not
match." Some people have actually confused
their brain because they walk around with
smiles that don’t match their negative
feelings.

#American Music Awards 2015 : Gwen Stefani Delivers Emotional Performance of "Used To Love You"

Now that's what you call an awards show performance!
Gwen Stefani took to the stage during Sunday evening's
2015 American Music Awards, delivering an emotionally
raw rendition of her new breakup ballad "Used to Love
You."
The performance focused solely on Stefani, who rocked
a black, floor length gown with sexy mesh cutouts,
while images from her equally as powerful music video
played in the background.
And while Street Yan has learned Blake Shelton skipped
out on attending the three-hour spectacle, it's safe to
say he probably sent his leading lady a good luck text or
even shared a quick Facetime sesh before show time!
Ahead of her performance, the blond bombshell
flaunted her svelte figure on the AMAs red carpet in a
sheer, black Yousef Al-Jasmi ensemble complemented
by a thick choker and bold arm accents.
As for her beauty routine, the rocker chick opted for a
similarly striking makeup look and voluminous waves
with a retro twist. A number of gold bangles
accessorized the entire look and a chic red manicure
provided a pop of color.
Keep doing your thing, Gwen! You never disappoint.

LIFESTYLE : 5 Signs You Need to Stop Dating and Be Alone For a While

The term “burnout" means experiencing
exhaustion, dwindling motivation, and a loss
of interest in something that formerly engaged
you. We usually apply this term to working
environments, but burnout can easily happen
to people in their love lives — and often for the
same reasons it happens in their work lives.
At work, burnout usually occurs when you
start to feel like you’re working too hard for
the results that are being produced. It’s not
just the long hours or the slow progress — it
tends to be the combination of both that
makes you start hating what you are doing.
When you feel like you’re working as hard as
you can but you're getting nowhere, feelings
of frustration, pessimism and exhaustion are
only natural.
This happens in our personal lives and our
romantic relationships too. Relationships that
are on the decline can become as demanding
and taxing as a full-time job. If we worked
exceedingly hard to make the relationship
work and it still fails, the period of singledom
that follows your breakup is often riddled with
signs of burnout.
Here are five ways to spot relationship
burnout:
#1. You think dating sounds awful.
After a breakup, some people can't wait to get
back into the dating scene, but some feel
indifferent to dating for a longer period of
time. These are all relatively positive reactions
to being single again. But if you have a strong
negative reaction to the idea of going on a
date for a significant period of time post-
breakup, that’s an indication of relationship
burnout.
#2. You don't find it fun to look for
someone new.
Most people find actively seeking dates (such
as online dating) stressful, but what about
meeting a potential person organically? What
if you meet someone you’d normally be
interested in through work or through a friend?
If even the idea of meeting someone right now
sounds dreadful, you're probably burned out in
the relationship department.
#3. You feel emotionally exhausted.
After a breakup, it's pretty common to feel
emotionally stressed — especially if you lived
together and it took a while to get things
separated again. But there’s a particular type
of exhaustion that indicates relationship
burnout: a complete lack of emotional energy.
If you find it hard to have an emotional
reaction to anything — even small, positive
things like jokes and laughter — your
emotional reserves may be completely
depleted.
#4. You can only remember the bad
parts of your past relationships.
Typically, when you leave a job to move on to
another opportunity, you tend to remember
your previous job holistically — the good parts
as well as the bad. But if you quit your job
because you're completely burned out, all you
can remember are the stressful and
overwhelming parts of your job.
If you can only remember the fights you had
with your former partner and not much else,
the negative energy of the breakup is still very
much with you.
#5. You feel cynical or pessimistic
about love.
Do you imagine that if you got into another
relationship, it would be doomed to fail? Do
you secretly believe that people in love are
fools? This type of disillusionment about love,
in general, is an unfortunate consequence of
relationship burnout.
If you notice any of these signs in yourself, it
may be time to recognize the role of
relationship burnout in your life.
Fortunately, there are things you can do to make
this period of your life easier and move past it:
#1. Give your previous relationship
time to make sense.
When you eventually become able to look
back on a relationship and see the lessons it
taught you, the relationship — no matter how
bad — will start to hold a meaningful place in
your life. Did the breakup make you stronger?
Did it teach you more about what you need in
a partner? Understanding these lessons will
help you heal and prepare for your next
relationship.
#2. Be upfront with any potential
partners.
If you’re not ready to jump in to another
relationship, you’re not ready. Even if
someone great comes along, there’s a good
chance it won’t turn into lasting love if you’re
still in the throes of relationship burnout. Have
fun and meet people, but be upfront about not
looking for anything serious.
#3. Give yourself permission not to
be interested.
Many newly single people feel great internal
and (often) external pressure to “get back out
there.” But if you’re genuinely not interested in
being in a relationship, give yourself
permission to be alone. This may very well be
your intuition telling you it’s time to reconnect
with yourself.
#4. Spark interest somewhere else in
your life.
If you’re going to disengage from the dating
and relationship world for a while, be sure to
cultivate passion and interest somewhere else
in your life. What have you been longing to
try? What gives you that spark of energy
you've been missing? These are the pursuits
that will, with time, draw you fully out of
relationship burnout.

Meghan Trainor and Charlie Puth Just Made Out and Got It On During Their American Music Awards Performance

Let's Marvin Gaye and get our kissing game on!
Meghan Trainor and Charlie Puth were just some of the
many stars expected to deliver special performances at
Sunday night's 2015 American Music Awards. In this
case, however, we weren't exactly prepared for some
serious PDA.
While performing their collaboration "Marvin Gaye,"
things came to a steamy end with the lyrics "Let's
Marvin Gaye and get it on."
But instead of maybe taking a bow or savoring the
applause, these two decided to make out like nobody
was watching. Can we get a hot damn alert!?
As the camera panned away, the Best Country Male
winner Luke Bryan took to the stage to accept his
award. Luckily, he couldn't ignore the elephant in the
room.
"Charlie and Meghan getting it on over there
smooching," he joked. "It rolled after the commercial
break too."
So could these two be more than just friends? Or did
those lyrics just take over during the performance?
One source tells Street Yan that the kiss was planned and
happened in rehearsals. Trainor's rep told street Yan that
the pair is just good friends. Whatever the case, these
two definitely got people talking!

Wada declares 3 days of mourning over Audu’s death

Gov. Idris Wada of Kogi State has declared 3
days of mourning in honour of the former governor of
the state and candidate of the All Progressive
Congress, (APC) in Saturday’s governorship election
in the state, Abubakar Audu, reports Vanguard.
Audu died on Sunday shortly before the Independent
National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared the
election inconclusive.

Wada described Audu as a great Kogite and a great
Nigerian who has contributed immensely to the socio-
economic and political development of Kogi State.
In a statement, Monday, by the Secretary to the
State Government, Prof. Adegbemiro Jegede, Wada
described Audu as a leader who always strive to give
his pursuit the best.
The governor commiserated with the family of Audu
and the entire people of Kogi State.
Although, INEC had declared the election
inconclusive, Audu was poised to be declared winner
eventually.
Audu, from the results declared by the INEC, from
the 21 local councils in the state, had won 16 with
240 867 votes and was clearly ahead of the Peoples
Democratic Party (PDP) opponent and incumbent,
Wada.

POLICE TRAINING INSTITUTIONS IN UTTER DECAY – MBU

The Federal Government has been urged
to set up a special committee to visit
police formations in the country.
Mr Joseph Mbu (AIG), Commandant,
Police Staff College, made the call during
interview with News Agency of Nigeria
(NAN), in Jos on Sunday.
“There is decay; there is neglect; what
we have on ground is not conducive for
the reform programme we all yearn for.
“Many projects in the training institutions
have been abandoned’’, Mbu said.
He stressed that the nation must invest
more in the police force so as to get the
best service from it and effect the
change crucial for a better Nigeria.
“Nigerians want an improved police force
in line with the change mantra, but the
institutions that train the personnel are in
a state of utter decay.’’
He held that management and personnel
of the police were doing a lot, and that
officers on strategic courses in the
college would feel more encouraged, for
instance, if they were fed by the force.
“That gesture would give them the time
to fully concentrate without distractions.
“The police profile is rising, but there is
no need for course participants here to
feed themselves; government should feed
them to make them feel cared for and
that will in turn ginger them to make
more sacrifices for the nation.’’
On the officers recently trained on
strategic leadership and command by the
PSC, he said that they must be
courageous and lead their teams like
lions.
Mbu cautioned trainees, usually of the
commissionership cadre, against greed
and lust for material things, and insisted
that they must stand up for truth and tell
leaders the implications of crude tactics
they may want to pursue.
“You could be posted as a police
commissioner to a state where the
governor, as chief security officer, may
want to lord it over you, but you must
assert the fact that you will be
responsible for controlling any trouble
whenever it starts.
He advised police officers to assess their
personnel based on hard work instead of
asking for “any returns’’, and promised
that the force would stoutly defend any
officer who made genuine mistakes in
the course of his duties.
Mbu also advised them against abusing
their powers, stressing that all
obligations must be within regulation.

Agbara Bank Robbery

I wish to draw the attention of Nigerians to a
dangerous trend that may lead to anarchy. It is very
sad that our leaders are fiddling while our cities are
burning with banditry. The bank robbery in Agbara last
Thursday is one too many. It is the same pattern of
coming in numbers and taking over an area for hours
and escaping through the waterways without any
obstruction.
Nigerians must begin to ask questions about what has
been done with all the security votes for our forces
over the years. Our forces have no force! We need a
total overhaul of all our forces, starting with more
manpower for the police and restructuring the
Department of State Services to be able to profile
dangerous elements in our country.

PDP kicks against caretaker chairmen in Niger

Niger State governor Abubakar Sani Bello at the
weekend inaugurated caretaker chairmen that would
oversee affairs of the 25 local government areas of the
state.
He charged them to replicate the ideals of the All
Progressives
Congress (APC) in their domains.
At the ceremony which took place at the Government
House, Minna,
Governor Bello urged the chairmen to be the leading
examples of “discipline and prudent management of
resources” at the third tier of government.
The governor, however, cautioned those he said were
“out to undermine his government” following the
protests that trailed the process of selection of the
caretaker chairmen in some local government areas to
desist or face the full wrath of the law.
“We cannot continue to promote agitation and violence.
Let not my sympathy and consideration deceive people
as weakness. Anyone or group found undermining this
government or creating public disturbance, the person
will be dealt with accordingly,” he said.
Meanwhile, the inauguration of the caretaker chairmen
did not go down well with the opposition Peoples
Democratic Party (PDP), which sees the exercise as an
aberration.
The party said it would explore all legal means to
scuttle the process.
In a press briefing Friday, the party, through its state
chairman, Musa Ma’ali, said the caretaker committee
was a contraption outside the law of the land, and
wondered why the APC, which prides itself as apostle
of rule of law should initiate such illegality.
“We will explore all legal means as law abiding party to
fight this anomaly and ensure that the rule of law
triumphs in the end,” Ma’ali vowed.

How PDP can sack APC

Former Senate President, Ken Nnamani, has said
the only way the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
can wrest power from the All Progressives
Congress (APC) is to entrench internal
democracy.
Besides, he said party leaders must obey and
abide by the rules of the party even as he
advocated the abolition of delegate system to
conduct primaries in the selection of candidates.
He canvassed a review of the PDP constitution to
facititate open congress, empowering all
registered PDP members to vote and select their
candidates.
Nnamani disclosed this in a paper he was sched
uled to deliver at the recent PDP Rebrand Forum
held in Abuja. He urged members to stop the
blame game over the party’s loss of last election.
Instead, Nnamani said they should take a bold
step towards reinventing itself by avoiding
mistakes that caused it the trust of the
electorate.
He said: “Many of the people who are very
pained that we lost the presidential election have
needlessly been blaming ourselves. This blame
game should not continue. We lost the election
because we deserved to lose. We had run out of
policy gas. We worked hard to lose the election.”
He said: “Now it is time for renewal and renewal
requires strategic thinking and bold actions. Many
years ago, I worked with some of my colleagues
in the PDP and we foresaw this moment. We
predicted that the PDP needed to keep faith with
its cardinal principles and values to sustain its
leadership of Nigerian politics. How I wished our
other colleagues listened to us in those days. We
would have averted the disaster of the 2015
electoral defeat. Some of those who contributed
immensely to the PDP electoral defeat shouted
us down and refused to hear our voice of
wisdom. This is past now. There is no time for
recrimination and self-adulation. It is time for
clarity and effective action.
“It is time for genuine embrace of internal democ
racy. The new PDP should become the symbol of
internal democracy. Our rebranding should first
start with a real commitment to internal
democracy. I suggest that before we go further
on this journey let all those who desire to lead
PDP in formal or informal positions of authority
publicly declare a new code of conduct. The
heart of this code of conduct will be an oath to
always promote and protect internal democracy.
“Beyond the code, the new PDP must put in its
constitution expulsion for any party official at all
levels who deliberately subverts the process of
internal democracy. Impunity must end now.
“As a leader of the proscribed PDP Reform Fo
rum, I took the clear position that we must be a
party ruled by law not by men. I have long known
that a rule-based system is superior to a
discretion-based system. Godfatherism is a weak
framework to build a system that can deliver its
mandate. The weight of contradiction of reckless
abandonment of our core values and rules is
what has drowned the ship of PDP in the waters
of Nigerian politics,” Nnamani said.

Yola, Kano explosion

At least 34 people were killed recently and 80 wounded
after an explosive device went off at a market in the
north eastern city of Yola, Adamawa State. The
casualty figures were confirmed by the Coordinator of
the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA)
in Adamawa State. The explosions occurred at a
market close to tipper garage in Yola as traders were
closing shops yesterday evening.
An eye-witness account stated that shortly before the
blast, an unidentified man came to the tipper garage;
gathered people and was dolling out N500 notes to
those around. According to this account, little did the
crowd know that it was a bait to attract them to the
spot in order to blow them off. It was while the crowd
was collecting the money that the bomb exploded,
which explains the high casualty rate after the
explosion.

OGUNWUSI BECOMES OONI TODAY

Following the completion of pre-
installation rites by the Ooni-elect, Prince
Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, he will today
(Monday) be installed the 51st Ooni of
Ile-Ife, the cradle of Yoruba nation.
The Ooni-elect had been restricted to
Ilofi since Friday, October 30, 2015 for
further installation rites along with
tutelage on his functions as an Ooni.
It was gathered that the coronation of
Ogunwusi will not be done in the open

A source hinted that the new monarch
will be entering the palace for the first
time as an Oba today.
“In line with the demand of Ile Ife
customs and traditions, his coronation
will hold behind closed doors. Only the
Isoros and Ife chiefs will be involved but
I can confirm it will be done inside the

adviser on Youth and Sports to Osun
State governor, Mr. Biyi Odunlade,
confirmed that the new Ooni will be
crowned today inside Ile Oodua.

Female Suicide Bomber Kills 7, Injures Several More At IDPs Screening

The attack was allegedly carried out by a woman, who
was among those evacuated to Borno State capital
from the Dikwa Local Council.
The evacuees were being screened before their
placement in one of the Internally Displaced Persons
(IDPs) in Maiduguri. According to Channels TV, the
attack also wounded three officials of the Civilian
Joint Task Force (CJTF).
Thus far, no group has officially claimed responsibility
for the act, although Boko Haram is widely believed to
be responsible.

Higuain hits double figures as Napoli go top

HiguainHiguain was expected to start on the
bench for Sunday’s trip to the Bentegodi
stadium after coach Maurizio Sarri claimed
the Argentina striker had returned “fatigued”
from international duty in midweek.
But Higuain shook off the effects of his cross-
Atlantic trip to bundle home from close range
to double the visitors lead after Lorenzo
Insigne had broken the deadlock on 67
minutes.
Insigne struck his seventh goal of the
campaign when he collected Marek Hamsik’s
rolled pass across the edge of the area to beat
Rafael with a low strike that went in off the
far post.
Verona fans were given brief hope when
evergreen striker Luca Toni came off the
bench to end his two-month injury absence,
but moments later Higuain struck to virtually
seal the points.
The result sent Napoli top of Serie A with a
one-point lead on Fiorentina, Roma and Inter
Milan, although Fiorentina and Inter are in
action later Sunday at home to Empoli and
Frosinone respectively and will be expected to
prevail.
Verona, still the only team without a win,
remain second from bottom but could go last
if Carpi claim at least a point at home to
Chievo later.
Roma warmed up for a crucial Champions
League trip to Barcelona on Tuesday with a
2-2 draw at Bologna on Saturday, when
former Giallorossi striker Mattia Destro
levelled for the hosts with an 88th minute
penalty.
Champions Juventus, meanwhile, warmed up
for the visit of Manchester City on Wednesday
with a cagey 1-0 win over AC Milan in Turin
on Saturday, Paulo Dybala hitting the winner
on 65 minutes to seal their third consecutive
league win.
Ahead of the remainder of Sunday’s fixtures,
Juve are currently sixth and seven points
behind Napoli.

Malian Forces Hunting Three Believed To Be Involved In Hotel Attack

According to the BBC, Malian security services are
currently on a manhunt for three individuals believed to
be connected to the attack on a hotel in Bamako on
Friday that left 19 people dead.
Radisson Hotel In Bamako
It is not known if the three individuals were involved in
the attack or were accomplices.
On Friday gunmen entered the Radisson Blu hotel
taking several hostages. The hostages were freed
when Malian Special Forces, French Special Forces,
and off-duty US servicemen stormed the hotel. Al
Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb and its affiliate al-
Murabitoun claimed responsibility for the attack.
Malian President Boubacar Keita declared a 10-day
state of emergency and three days of mourning.
However, President Keita was quick to stress that the
country was still open for business.
"Mali is not and will never be a closed border zone.
Paris isn't, Geneva isn't, New York isn't, Moscow isn't,"
he said.

inflows every month as a result of the global fall in the
prices of crude oil, the country’s major revenue earner.
The Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Godwin
Emefiele, who disclosed this on Friday night, said the
development had also made the federal allocation to
state governments drop by N2bn monthly.

Kourtney Kardashian Calls Scott Disick a ''Real F--king Asshole'' for Flaking on Family: ''His Main Concern Is Himself, Not the Kids''

Kourtney Kardashian isn't holding back on this Sunday's
Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
In this clip from the episode, Kris Jenner invites Scott
Disick over to her house to talk about his relationship
with Kourtney.
When Scott arrives, they sit down and Scott starts
telling Kris about how Kourtney took the barcodes off of
all his cars so he couldn't get into the house.
Kris tells Scott she feels like she's "missing a piece of
the story" and decides to call Kourtney and put her on
speakerphone.
"I'm just wondering from your perspective, because
Scott seems a little confused because he thought there
was an open door policy that he could come by
whenever," Kris says.
"There was," Kourtney responds. "There was, but that
has changed. He was flaking too often, every time I
tried to have him sit and have dinner with them he sits
in the other room on his phone. He flaked on going to
the kid's first day of school, he says 'I can't go because
I hate school s--t, I get anxious.' When really he went
out and partied through the next day, just like a real f--
king asshole."
Kourtney goes on to say, "His main concern is himself,
not the kids and that's what's important here is the
kids."

Justin Bieber and Jimmy Fallon Reveal Their Insanely Elaborate Secret Handshake

Forget all the hand games you grew up on such as
Slide, Patty Cake and Miss Mary Mack, because they're
now a thing of the past thanks to Jimmy Fallon and
Justin Bieber.
The "Love Yourself" crooner stopped by the Tonight
Show Thursday, and while walking through the show's
studio space he just so happened to bump into the NBC
host. Instead of greeting each other with a simple
handshake or a nice hug, Bieber and Fallon did what
could only be described as the most elaborate secret
handshake ever created.
What you'd think would last about 15 seconds went on
for more than a minute. Their handshake included hand
hugs, butt taps, pretend vomiting, popcorn kernels
popping and so much more. At one point they even
grabbed each other's elbows to "show respect" (said in
their best mobster impressions). Somehow they also
made time to shuffle their shoulders, chant some
incomprehensible statement and pretended to enter into
a fisticuffs.
"Body shot face! Body shot face!" they said as they
pretended to hit one another.
After the whole song and dance was done, they said
goodbye.
"Good to see you, man," Fallon said.
"Happy holidays, man," Bieber responded.
But they weren't gone for too long, as both returned for
the show where Bieber performed his latest single,
"Sorry." With a little help from The Roots, Bieber slowed
down the normally upbeat track and turned it into an
emotional ballad--for the first verse. He ultimately
launched into the fast, EDM-beat we've all come to
know and love.

Sylvester Stallone Steps Out on the Red Carpet for Creed With His Three Gorgeous Grown-Up Daughters

Beware all potential suitors--Sylvester Stallone can
throw a mean punch.
The 69-year-old Oscar nominee stepped out on the red
carpet Thursday night for the premiere of his upcoming
film, Creed, with not one, but four stunning dates--
including his statuesque wife Jennifer Flavin along with
his trio of striking teenage daughters, Sophia Rose
Stallone, 19, Sistine Rose Stallone, 17, and Scarlet
Rose Stallone, 13.
We can only imagine how intimidating it must be to
bring home a date to meet Rocky Balboa.
Model Sistine and mom Jennifer looked like twins in
coordinating black and white ensembles with accents of
lace. Eldest Sophia opted for head to toe black with
sexy panelling of sheer lace at the waist while youngest
Scarlet wore a fittingly red cocktail number with a lace
pattern overlay.
The man of the hour, Stallone, ignored the lace memo
and instead chose a sharp navy blue suit, strikingly
white collared shirt and matching pocket square.
Looking good, Rocky!
The action star stood guard as he was sandwiched by
his four beauties, crossing his arms in front of him as
the entire posse posed for the cameras.
The women have certainly grown up right before our
eyes, especially in comparison to a similar red carpet
family photo from just a few years ago.
Five years ago, the grown women were just blossoming
little girls as they held their father's hands on the red
carpet for his debut in The Expendables.
At the time, they had swapped their curve-hugging
ensembles and sky high heels of today for strapless
floral dresses, kitten heels and baby flats. How time
flies!
In additional shots of the star-studded evening, Stallone
joined his longtime wife Flavin for a few couple shots
together as they celebrated the debut of the film
garnering the veteran actor some Oscar buzz.
In the spin-off of the Rocky series, Stallone reprises his
role of Rocky Balboa as he coaches Adonis Creed,
played by Michael B. Jordan, a young aspiring boxer
and son of champion Apollo Creed, who was killed in
the ring in the fourth installment.
The film will be released in theaters on Nov. 25.

Van Gaal admits Man United shaken by terror attack

Manchester United manager Louis van
Gaal applauded football's stance in the light of the
Paris terror attacks as he admitted Friday that his
players had been shaken.
United had three players involved in the match
between France and Germany at the Stade de France
a week ago which was targeted in the attacks across
Paris in which 129 people were killed.
Anthony Martial will not play for United at Watford on
Saturday because of a foot injury sustained in
France's 2-0 defeat to England at Wembley on
Wednesday night.

Team-mate Morgan Schneiderlin is available but van
Gaal plans to further assess him and German
international Bastian Schweinsteiger before deciding
whether he can select the pair.
The Dutch coach said: "What they (the players) have
to tell me is private but we have communicated. I
don't think I have to mention what our discussions
were.
"Martial can't play because he is injured and
Schweinsteiger and Schneiderlin can play if we don't
take into account this event that has happened.
"For every human being in this world it's a big blow.
As members of the sport of football we can't do too
much."
Supporters at Wembley united behind the French
nation in mid-week and with the French national
anthem being sung before all Premier League
matches, van Gaal praised football's response.
"We can give support in symbols which is a nice
thing for the French people, for the victims and the
relatives of the victims," he said.
"I think it can give them force and strength to
survive."

The Most Emotional Lyrics From Adele's 25, Ranked in Order of Devastation

Here are the most devastating lyrics from what is going
to be one of the biggest-selling albums of the year,
ranked in descending order from twinge of longing to
fetal position:

15. "Hello, can you hear me? I'm in California dreaming
about who we used to be, when we were younger and
free."
Aaaaah. And this is our pick for least devastating. Not
only is darling Adele getting her ex's machine again,
she's lamenting the passing of those things you can
never get back--time and carefree youth!
14. "You told me you were ready / for the big one, for
the big jump / I'd be your last love everlasting you and
me / that was what you told me"
Considering the song is called "Send My Love (To Your
New Lover)," it sounds as though this fellow reneged on
his promises.
13. "I miss you, I miss you..."
"I Miss You" is actually about togetherness, and the
longing that people can feel even when their significant
other is right there. But the way Adele sings it, you'd
think the person actually disappeared every time the
lights went out.
12. "But I want to live and not just survive"
In "Love in the Dark," Adele is finally the one leaving--
but whoever once told you that it's almost better to be
the one being broken up with than the one doing the
breaking apparently heard that from Adele! She's so
sorry to be the one doing this but she has to. She wants
a shot at happiness. Someone's gotta go, best it be her.
11. "Why do you love me"
Thinking about how you have to be feeling to ask
someone that question makes us feel like making a
batch of chocolate mousse and sticking our head in said
mousse.
10. "When the world seems so cruel / and your heart
makes you feel like a fool / I promise you will see / that
I will be your remedy"
Whose heart hasn't made them feel like a fool before?
Show us that person!!
9. "It's hard to win me back / everything just takes me
back / to when you were there / and a part of me keeps
holding on / just in case it hasn't gone"
Yes! Sometimes the love dies for no apparent reason
and, try as you might to recapture the feeling, it's just
never the same. Do you stay? Do you go? It sounds as
though Adele went, dragging her feet, and she's forever
wondering if she made the right decision.
P.S. "When We Were Young" could be the name of a
few songs on 25. The ravages of time (Adele is 27
BTW) are a recurring theme.
8. "If you're gonna let me down, let me down gently /
don't pretend that you don't want me"
Heart-sigh. She knows it's not right, but she's kinda
hoping he doesn't notice it's not right, or doesn't know
that she knows it's not right. Whatever the scenario,
it's utter sadness. We know that past feuds and
misunderstandings can turn into so much "Water Under
the Bridge" but... et tu, Love?
7. "I don't need your honesty / it's already in your eyes
and I'm sure my eyes, they speak for me"
In "All I Ask," again all Adele asks is that her soon-to-be
ex doesn't make a mockery of what they shared and
reaffirm her belief that they mattered.
6. "I should probably tell you now before it's way too
late / That I never meant to hurt you or lie straight to
your face"
Because Adele's like a bird, she only flies away. All is
fine right now, but she knows that the restless soul
within is going to cause whomever she loves nothing
but heartache.
5. "I'm trying to be brave / stop asking me to stay"
It does take guts to leave, especially knowing that
you're crushing the other person.
4. "All my life, you're my darkness / You're the right
kind of madness"
Call this devastating exhilaration, all of the pain
reaching peak painfulness and then dissipating, floating
away like it never existed, when you meet the right
person.
3. "They say that time's supposed to heal ya / But I
ain't done much healing"
Back to "Hello" and the addressing of the hopeful myth
that time heals all wounds. Nonsense.
2. "It's so cold in your wilderness / I want you to be my
keeper / but not if you are so reckless"
She really wants him to be the one. He's just... not.
1. "It matters how this ends / cause what if I never love
again?"
Only the universal question every single person ever
asks after a relationship that they wanted to work so
desperately, instead... ends.
And... repeat.

Dangote denies being held hostage in Mali Hotel terror attack

Africa’s richest man Aliko Dangote has denied
reports that he is among the 170 hostages being held
by terrorists that attacked Radisson Blu Hotel in the
centre of Mali's capital, Bamako.
Dangote made the denial on his Twitter account on
Friday.
Rumour about me being held hostage is false.
I was in Mali yesterday.Thank you for your
concern. My prayers with those involved.
— Aliko Dangote (@AlikoDangote) November
20, 2015
Three hostages are reported to have been
killed.
Two people have locked in 140 guests and 30
employees in "a hostage-taking situation", the
hotel's US owners said.
Gunmen entered the hotel, which is popular
with expat workers shooting, and shouting
"God is great!" in Arabic.
A Malian army commander told the AP news
agency that about 20 hostages have been
freed.
Those hostages able to recite verses of the
Koran were being freed, a security source has
told Reuters news agency.
Six staff from Turkish Airlines are staying at
the hotel, and a Chinese guest told China's
state news agency Xinhua that he was among
about seven Chinese tourists trapped there.

Revelation - Adekunle Gold

Adekunle Gold has attributed all the
success he has achieved to God Almighty
and hard work!
The ‘Orente’ singer, known for his
indigenous style of music tells Encomium
magazine that putting so much time and
resources into his craft has gotten him
where he is now.
“I would give it to God and also 10 hours
of practices and doing something that is
entirely different,” Gold replied when
asked what’s attributed to his success.
When asked if he saw himself achieving
as much as he has within this short time,
the singer replied, “I never thought it
would be this soon but I knew it was
going to happen someday.”
The young singer and songwriter is still
basking in the success of his debut singer
– Orente – but says his next mission is “to
release more singles” and eventually,
“an album.”

Naeto c set to drop new album

Naeto C has also released the official tracklist
for "Festival" album. The LP is a 15 track album, and
contains collaborations from Cynthia Morgan, Olamide,
Flavour, Omawumi, and Bular.

Naeto C has announced a new album to be released
this year “ Festival ”, and the album artwork has been
unveiled.
The rapper has had a year filled with activity in and
out of the studio, and he is set to drop his 4 studio
album.
“Festival” comes hotly after his third studio LP “Day
1”, which was released in August 2015. It is expected
to be a commercial album, a stark contrast to its
predecessor which was a core Hip-hop conceptual
work.
Naeto C’s “Day 1” was reviewed by Pulse Music
saying ““ Day 1” sees Naeto C return to the basics of his
art. Way before he experienced the disruptive influences
of Nigerian pop sounds, and commercial African drum
patterns. This is Naeto C, celebrating his primary skills
as an MC.”
